The Lavender is blooming in Sequim, Washington, the Lavender Capital of North America, for 12th annual Sequim Lavender Festival, Friday, July 18 - Sunday, July 20, 2008, sponsored by the Sequim Lavender Growers Association. With Eight Farms on Tour and one fantastic Street Fair, it is like Nine Festivals in One. Set in the breathtaking Sequim-Dungeness Valley, this three day festival is the largest lavender event in North America and the ideal weekend getaway or day-trip, with Eight Farms on Tour, a Street Fair, and many community activities. Sequim is cradled in the “Rain Shadow” of the world-famous Olympic National Park and the sun is always out in Sequim! Tickets are $15 and provide admission to all of the Eight Farms on Tour, with children 12 and under admitted free. New this year is a special military family discount - $5.00 off the ticket price with active military or active military dependant ID. |
